ABS Plastic Properties
ABS, or Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, is a thermoplastic that is transparent. The three monomers that make up this amorphous polymer are styrene, butadiene, and acrylonitrile. The most frequent method of polymerising ABS is emulsification, which is the skilful skill of mixing several products that don't normally combine into a single product. Acrylonitrile forms a polar attraction with the other two components when the three monomers are mixed, creating a final product that is strong and extremely durable. To further alter the final product, varying amounts of each monomer can be added during the process. The appeal of ABS plastic across several industry sectors can be attributed in large part to its features of adaptability. Products manufactured of ABS are everywhere, from computer keyboard keys to LEGO.
