My name is Laura and I am 50 years old. Mother of two children and psychotherapist since 2002.The framework I refer to in my profession as a psychologist is transactional analysis. I became aware of this orientation during the post-graduate internship that I carried out in a Child Neuropsychiatry Center outside Turin. There were many female doctors, but my Tutor (transactional analyst) had, thanks to this approach, a very pragmatic and effective ability in dealing with people and dealing with their difficulties that I didn't see elsewhere.At the basis of transactional analysis there is a profound respect for the human being (You are Ok) and the use of the relationship as a means to work together (therapist and patient).In fact, therapy is a research process, carried out by a team made up of two people, in which patient and therapist carry out distinct and complementary roles of research and research supervision.
