Professor Bhik Kotecha, born in Kenya and relocating to England in 1972, spent his formative years in Stanmore. He attended Copland High School in Wembley, Middlesex. His aspiration to study medicine led him to the University of Wales, College of Medicine in Cardiff, where he successfully qualified in 1984.
Commencing his surgical journey as a surgical house officer in a professorial unit in Cardiff, he undertook various roles, including serving as a Registrar in Otolaryngology at Hope Hospital / Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, University of Manchester School of Medicine. His career progression led him to become a Senior Registrar in ENT at The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London.
Bhik Kotecha, a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon, recently retired from the NHS. He dedicated over 25 years to his role at The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London and at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Notably, he has developed a keen interest in the management of snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea, offering expert guidance and treatment.
